Amid socio economic challenges facing Nigeria as a country , an Ibadan born lawyer and retired top ranking banker , Elder Barrister Oludare Adewale says there is still hope for Nigeria with the renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu urging Nigerians to always confess positively about the country and co-operate with those in Power at all levels in the overall benefit and interest of the people
Speaking with journalists in Ibadan over the weekend , Elder Barrister Oludare Adewale said the federal government had taken proactive measures to mitigate the effect of the removal of oil subsidy on common citizens and the rich for Nigeria to move forward
He noted with delight that President Bola Tinubu had jacked up the federal allocation to the 36 States of the federation including Abuja the federal Capital territory to take care of developmental *projects* and tackle the new minimum wages for civil and public Servants
Other steps, according him included *removal of* value added tax VAT on some imported items to beat down their prices for them to be affordable and be within the reach of the people.
He cautioned those working against Nigeria to remember that posterity will judge individuals against what they do, urging all to be patriotic and think of what they can do to move Nigeria forward .
Noting that the problems and challenges facing the country is not that of leadership alone but also of followership , Barrister Oludare Adewale said with the abundant human and natural resources, Nigeria is better than some other African countries and other Western nations going by what their citizens are experiencing .
While calling on State Governors to make judicious uses of the increased federal allocation , he called on Nigerians to cooperate and support the Renewed Hope Agenda Policies to make Nigeria a better place to live in again .
On Ondo Governorship Election coming up next Saturday , he cautioned politicians not to see it as do or die affair .
Elder Barrister Adewale called on *the electorates* to vote according to their conscience and avoid being monetarily induced .
Speaking on conflicting court rulings on Rivers state concerning the imbroglio, Barrister Oludare Adewale said the rule of law will prevail at the end of the day, saying the supremacy of the law is sancrasact . He appreciated the intervention of the chief Justice of Nigeria and also craved for further intervention of the President of the federal Republic of Nigeria as well .
