SCOAN Dedicates 2025 Thanksgiving Service to Prayers for Nigeria
The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday devoted its 2025 annual thanksgiving service to fervent prayers for Nigeria, appealing for divine intervention amid persistent security concerns and economic hardship.
The service, held at the church’s headquarters in Ikotun, Lagos, attracted thousands of worshippers from within and outside the country. It opened with energetic multilingual praise sessions in Swahili, French, English and Ashanti, underscoring the ministry’s diverse global following.
Leader of SCOAN, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the church throughout the year. She said that despite the uncertainties facing Nigeria and the wider world, the ministry continued to experience testimonies of healing, deliverance and transformation—signs, she said, of God’s enduring presence in the church.
“We appreciate God for His preservation and faithfulness,” she said, urging Nigerians not to despair. “Our prayer today is for God’s intervention in this nation—His peace, His wisdom and His mercy in these challenging times.”
Worshippers also offered intercessory prayers for national unity, stability and progress.
Ugandan worshipper Dr. Patrick Kpashagsi described thanksgiving as central to SCOAN’s identity, commending Pastor Evelyn Joshua for maintaining the spiritual direction laid by the late founder, Prophet T.B. Joshua.
“Prophet T.B. Joshua established this ministry on God’s instruction, and Pastor Evelyn has continued faithfully on that path,” he said. “We are here to express gratitude for the gift of Jesus Christ to humanity.”
Guest preacher from Tanzania, Stephen Nbasi, urged Christians to strengthen their relationship with God through faith, godliness and full submission to Jesus Christ. He reminded the congregation that gratitude and obedience remain essential to Christian living.
The thanksgiving service ended with special prayers for families, the church and the nation.
