Farida Ahmed Congratulates Princess Damilola Sonayon-James on Emergence as APC Deputy Governorship Candidate in Lagos

Her Eminence, Ambassador Dr. Prevail Farida Olayinka Ahmed, FCPA, DFILMMD-UK, CPAc, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to Princess Damilola Sonayon-James following her emergence as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Lagos State.
In a congratulatory message released on Tuesday, Dr. Ahmed described the development as a historic achievement that reflects Princess Sonayon-James’ dedication, leadership capacity, commitment to public service, and significant contributions to the growth and development of Lagos State.
According to her, the emergence of Princess Sonayon-James represents not only a personal milestone but also a source of inspiration to women, young leaders, and the people of Badagry, who have long sought greater representation within the leadership structure of the state.
Dr. Ahmed noted that the APC deputy governorship candidate's selection underscores the party’s recognition of competence, loyalty, and service, adding that her candidacy has further strengthened hopes for inclusive governance and broader participation in leadership.
She also offered prayers for Princess Sonayon-James as she prepares to embark on the electoral journey alongside the APC Governorship Candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
“I pray that God grants her wisdom, strength, grace, and divine guidance to serve the people diligently and contribute meaningfully to the continued progress, peace, and prosperity of Lagos State,” she stated.
Dr. Ahmed reiterated her confidence in the ability of Princess Sonayon-James to make a positive impact and wished her success in the task ahead.
