Nestlé Professional – Improving Food Business in Nigeria

The  business of food is therefore, a very important sector of the economy, with many providers serving those with limited disposable income. FG Inaugurates T-MAX Project In Lagos

  The Federal Government, on Monday, officially lunch Project T-MAX, a Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET, programme, in Lagos, aimed at lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by 2030.  There are seven pilot states listed for pilot scheme, which are: Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Enugu, Kaduna, Nasarawa and Gombe, with the aim of empowering at least, 15,000 Nigerians across the pilot states. Out of the, 3,000 beneficiaries are been targeted in Lagos, while 2,000 each will benefit from other six states.   Hoodlums, on Thursday, invaded the palace of Oloto of Oto Awori Kingdom, Oba Josiah Aina, allegedly attacked guests and disrupted the celebration of his 15th year coronation anniversary, a situation that led to the death of one person, who’s yet to be identified. Report has it that the celebration was ongoing when the hoodlums, who were armed with weapons, stormed the community, attacked and robbed residents of their valuables. The hoodlums were said to have taken advantage of the tension created during the attack to invade the palace where the celebration was taking place. During the invasion, the hoodlums reportedly attacked the monarch’s guests; vandalized property including vehicles, and burnt some shops within the vicinity. It was gathered that most guests scampered to safety, some others, who were unlucky, sustained varying degrees of injury and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.   The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has commemorated the Year 2022 International Day for Remembrance of Slave Trade and its abolition with a Fitila Procession in Badagry. The Honorable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Pharm. (Mrs.) Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, speaking on the importance and significance of the procession, said it was designed to serve as a form of remembrance for those that died during the period of the obnoxious slave trade. In her words: “It is a sad experience for our forefathers, who were subjected to the ignoble and inhuman act of slavery, in those days. This is why we have organised the Fitila Procession to remember them as well as pray for their soul and that such a barbaric period will never reoccur again”. The Fitila Procession took off from the Slave Trade Museum, Vlekete, and ended at the Heritage Museum Badagry where all participants dropped their Fitila in front of the Liberation Statue.
