Oyo Govt., Mottainai Urges Residents to Embrace Waste Recycling

      The Oyo State Government has urged residents in the State to embrace the habit of waste sorting and recycling.   Speaking through its Waste Management consultant, Mottainai Recycling Ltd., on Monday, the State Government said this is part of efforts to reduce pressure on landfills in the State.   Mr. Adey Adewuyi, the MD, Mottainai Recycling Ltd, who made the call in Ibadan, enjoined residents to join hands with the Oyo State Government, as it tackles the menace of waste management.   Adewuyi reiterated his firm's total commitment to the furtherance of the Executive Governor's order on zero tolerance for reckless waste disposal.   “Mottainai is paving the way for a cleaner and healthier Oyo State; we are totally committed to environmental sustainability", he said.   He also urged the Federal and State Governments to support recycling companies with innovative technology to combat waste that cause flooding and other environmental challenges to the environment.   Adey

  Lagos State Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Investments has  plans to unveil a programme tagged Lagos SDGs Grant Competition for Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to facilitate impact projects. Primary Healthcare: Oyo Government Presents Generators to 351 PHCs

  Oyo State Government has kick-started the equipping of the three-hundred and fifty one (351) Primary Healthcare Centres in the State, with new power generating sets. Doing a symbolic presentation of 97 generating sets to some primary healthcare centres, in Ibadan today, the Engineering Technical Lead of PHCs Renovation Committee, Engr. Ademola Aderinto said henceforth PHCs will be powered by an alternative source, whenever there is disruption of power supply by the electricity provider.  Engr. Aderinto, wwho is the Special Assistant on Environment said the aim of Governor Seyi Makinde was to ensure that 351 primary healthcare centres in Oyo State are equipped for the comfort of patients. He added that part of the project’s goal is to deliver generators for electricity supply to all renovated centers.  Aderinto also said, the Oyo State Government has sunk boreholes to ensure a steady supply of water not only to the PHCs, but also to the community through taps placed outside the PHCs.

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state, has inaugurated a 163- member campaign Council that would midwife the 2023 general elections for the party's candidates across board in the state. The Council comprises representatives of all forum existing in the party including serving and former political office holders in the state. Auditor-General's Report: Lagos Lawmakers Begin Probe Of Indicted Ministries, Departments, Agencies

  The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Lagos State House of Assembly has begun a probe of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the government in relation to the State's Auditor-General's report for 2021. Hon.
