Sixty Support Groups Roots For Soludo, Hold Solidarity Rally for His Re-election

Lagos State University is Set To Confer Degrees Upon 11,917 students in the 2023/2024 academic session.

  The Lagos State University (LASU) has announced that it shall confer degrees upon no fewer than 11,917 graduands during its 28th Convocation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session. This disclosure was made by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, during a press conference held at the Senate Chamber, Ojo Campus, Lagos, to formally commence the convocation activities.  The convocation ceremony is scheduled to take place from the 3rd to the 10th of April. “As an institution, we take immense pride in the opportunity to send forth another cohort of market-ready, solution-driven graduates—individuals thoroughly equipped to contribute meaningfully to both national and international development,” Professor Olatunji-Bello remarked. She revealed that 971 students would be graduating with diploma qualifications this year. 75 College of Nursing Students Receive NELFUND Loan*

  * The management of the Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, Eleyele, has confirmed that Seventy-five (75) students of the institution benefitted from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, (NELFUND). The College's Provost, Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi stated this on Friday, during a meeting with management staff of the institution. Expressing the appreciation of the College to NELFUND, the Provost also congratulated the students on their success. The Provost said, “This is to inform the College that we received the loan funds for 75 students yesterday." Pro-democracy group tells Tinubu to declare state of emergency in Zamfara over insecurity, political repression

 * * The United Democratic Coalition (UDC) has called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately declare a state of emergency in Zamfara, citing worsening insecurity and a breakdown of democratic order in the state. The demand was contained in a statement on Friday signed by Abdulrahman Danladi, president of the coalition. Danladi described Zamfara as “a state under siege,” accusing the state government of abandoning its constitutional duty to protect lives and uphold democratic principles. “The situation in Zamfara has gone from troubling to terrifying.   The Coalition for Accountability and Good Governance has condemned the decision of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to declare notable businesswoman and philanthropist, Mrs. Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, wanted. NCC Releases Draft Guidance on Unutilized Recharges, Calls for Stakeholder Input

  The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has released a draft guidance document addressing the management of unutilized and unclaimed recharges in the country’s telecommunications sector. Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, announced the development in a statement to the press, noting that the draft guidance is now available for review on the Commission’s official website,  www.ncc.gov.ng . He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the NCC’s mandate under the Nigerian Communications Act of 2003, particularly Section 57, which empowers the Commission to enact regulatory measures to enhance sector efficiency.
