Sanwo-Olu Receives Church of Nigeria's Award for Exemplary and Courageous Leadership in a Challenging Situation

 


According to Governor Sanwo-Olu, "I am indeed humbled and honored by the decision of the Leadership of The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) to consider me worthy as the recipient of the church’s Prestigious Award for Exemplary and Courageous Leadership in a Challenging Situation.


"The last two years have, no doubt, been challenging for us due mostly to the sudden appearance of COVID-19 of which our state has been the epicenter."


"I cannot lay claim to this award alone. I must acknowledge the commitment, hardwork, sacrifice and passion demonstrated by members of my team, the entire frontline workers who at the risk of their own lives and those of their families worked day and night at the various isolation centres to save lives. 


"The humanitarian support shown by kind hearted individuals and private sector organisations through financial and material donations have really underscored the fact that no challenging situations will be too difficult for us to overcome as a people when we stand together and for each other."

  Bolarinwa in a five grounds appeal, urged the court to help determine if the lower court accord him fair hearing. Shettima Advice Couple on Preserving Sanctity of Marriage

  The Vice President,of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shettima, has advice the young couples to always preserve the sanctity of marriage as enshrined in the holy books, especially the affirmation of its importance and sanctity in the Qur’an. Shettima gave the admonition on Sunday in Lagos at the wedding ceremony of the son of Hon. kafilat Ogbara, member representing Kosofe federal constituency in the House Representatives, Alhaji Abdulbasit Ogbara and Raabiha Mohammad.
