  The presidential election planned for February in the military-ruled West African state of Mali has to be postponed “for technical reasons”, the transitional government announced on Monday. The junta cited the updating of the electoral roll and problems with a census database following a dispute with the operating company as reasons. In continuation of its onslaught on filthy markets in the state, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has shut Oke-odo Market, near Ile-Epo, Abule Egba, for reckless waste disposal and gross environmental abuse.   Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) early morning today rescued a female asthmatic patient and a commercial bus driver from an accident scene at Ajala inward Abule-Egba area of Lagos.
