Brazilian Descendants Association ( bdalagos) Set to hold Heritage Festival In Lagos

 



The Brazilian Descendants Association, BDALAGOS. 


In preparation of the second annual  Heritage festival in Lagos Island the Brazilian Quarters also known as the POPO AGUDA.


It’s a four day festival approved by the Federal Government Ministry of Tourism to celebrate all the Afro-Brazilian Descendants Heritage in Nigeria.

 Calling all Son’s and Daughter’s of AGUDA Community to come   celebrate our heritage ,embrace our Ancestors food and fashion, all that make our communities a unique part of Lagos State.


With pride and joyful hearts, we are calling you all great citizens of Lagos and beyond to join us in celebrating our Heritage Day.

The Four days line up,are as follows; 

DAY ONE 

30th of November 2023: 

Annual Memorial Lecture day at Shoremekun Hall Broad Street and laying of wreaths for the departed Afro-Brazilians at Campos Memorial Mini Stadium Lagos Island. 11:00 PM 


DAY TWO 

Friday, 1st of December 2023: 

There will be a special prayer session for the Afro-Brazilian Community at the Brazilian Salvador Mosque Joseph Street and the Afro-Brazilian Food Exhibition at the Shoremekun Hall Broad Street. 

6:00 PM


DAY THREE 

2nd of December 2023: The main event for all families of Afro-Braziilian Cultural & Traditional display at Shoremekun Hall Broad Street and Families procession starting from the Afro-Brazilian Cultural Centre 13, Catholic Mission Street Lagos Island starting at 12.noon.


Day Four

3rd of December 2023 Thanksgiving service for the Afro-Brazilian Community at the Holy Cross Cathedral 14, Catholic Mission Street Lagos Island. 8:00

  Bolarinwa in a five grounds appeal, urged the court to help determine if the lower court accord him fair hearing. Shettima Advice Couple on Preserving Sanctity of Marriage

  The Vice President,of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shettima, has advice the young couples to always preserve the sanctity of marriage as enshrined in the holy books, especially the affirmation of its importance and sanctity in the Qur’an. Shettima gave the admonition on Sunday in Lagos at the wedding ceremony of the son of Hon. kafilat Ogbara, member representing Kosofe federal constituency in the House Representatives, Alhaji Abdulbasit Ogbara and Raabiha Mohammad. Shettima who was Special Guest of Honour also represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the occasion.
