OKEHO INDIGENES AND OYSCOHEST MANAGEMENT CANVASS FOR INCREASE IN STUDENTS' ENROLMENT AT OYSCOHEST OKEHO SATELLITE CAMPUS AS APERO OMO OKEHO ORGANIZES EDUCATION SUMMIT

 


In its efforts at ensuring that the OKEHO Satellite Campus of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology Eleyele Ibadan does not go into extinction, Apero Omo OKEHO organised an Education Summit  to sensitize the INDIGENES, parents, guardians and other stakeholders  on the need to send their children to the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology's OKEHO Satellite Campus for further education.


Welcoming the guests to the Education Summit held at OKEHO Town Hall  in  Kajola Local Government, the  President of Apero Omo OKEHO Global, Pastor Favour Adewoyin  called on the people of Oke Ogun to take advantage of the opportunity of having the Campus sited in Okeho and enroll their children for the courses at the Satellite Campus to ensure the development of the College.


Pastor Adewoyin commended the College  Governing Council, the Management  and Staff of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology  for their efforts at  revamping the glory of the Health Institution in OKEHO.


He advised the people of Oke Ogun to see the OKEHO Satellite Campus of  the College as their own,  emphasizing that all hands must be on deck  to ensure that the school gets higher patronage by students in the area  seeking admission  for tertiary education .


Speaking at the event, the Chairman, Governing Council of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin,  represented by a Governing Council member,  Pastor Samson Olugbenga Makinde expressed his delight over the Education Summit stressing the need for parents and guardians in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State to send their children and wards to the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the College saying graduates of the College have great career prospects. 


Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin said the  Government had done its own part by siting the Satellite Campus in OKEHO to cater for the Health Education needs of the  INDIGENES of Oke Ogun area, calling on the people to complement and appreciate the kind gesture through an increase in  students' enrolment .


The Provost of the College, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo took time to enlighten the audience about the prospects of the courses being offered on the campus and admonished them to support the development of the campus,  expressing the optimism that the campus had the chances of running additional courses and becoming a full fledged institution in the nearest future. 


Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo commended Governor Seyi Makinde FNSE, DSc.  for his constant support for the College  as she urged  prospective students to take advantage of the ongoing admission exercise into the campus and apply for admission for the available courses. 


In their respective  remarks, the Chairman, Kajola Local Government,  Alhaji Salimonu Borikansunwon Afolabi, His Royal Majesty, the Onjo of OKEHO, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha, the Oniro of  Otu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Adepoju,  His Royal Highness, Oba Lawal Oyeleye Bajigan of Ilaji Oke, and His Royal Majesty,  Oba Joseph Oyediran,  Onidiko of Idiko Ago  and other religious and Community leaders commended Apero Omo OKEHO for organizing the  event  .


They all called on the ten  Local Governments  and L C DA s to  sponsor at least five  students  for admission into the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the  Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology  .


In his brief remark,  the President of OYSCOHEST Students' Union Government, Comrade Tolase Fadare  thanked  the Governing Council Chairman, Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin , the College Provost, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo,  the Management and Staff for their various efforts at  moving the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the College forward. 


Assessing the Education Summit, the  OYSCOHEST  Provost, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo said it was a great success and a well attended event,  which achieved the aim of the organizers. She appreciated the organizers of the Summit,Apero Omo OKEHO for supporting the College and canvassing for more students for the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology to ensure the sustainability of the programmes being run  at the Satellite Campus. 


It will be recalled that this is the first time an Education Summit of this kind is taking place since the establishment of the OKEHO Satellite Campus  in 2015.

Shettima Advice Couple on Preserving Sanctity of Marriage

  The Vice President,of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shettima, has advice the young couples to always preserve the sanctity of marriage as enshrined in the holy books, especially the affirmation of its importance and sanctity in the Qur’an.
