The interview by the former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party(SDP), Mr Goke Omigbodun in which he attacked Governor Ademola Adeleke was laced with misconceptions, mis-interpretation and many outright falsehood borne out of personal anger over a land issue that has since been addressed. As much as the politician is entitled to his opinion as a stakeholder in the Osun project, he should not have allowed his complaints over a land issue to colour his usually commendable debates on public events and analyses. Whatever way anybody may want to spin it, Governor Adeleke inherited over 100 billion naira in pension arrears and half salary debt when he took over. Paying those debts, meeting monthly salary obligations and paying a wage award bill of over three billion naira so far deserve commendation irrespective of personal grudges. The former governorship candiadte may want to note that addressing infrastructure deficit is a major step towards revitalizing the state econo
