NBA Ikeja Takes Members On AI's Role on Economic Growth

 



The Nigeria Bar Association Ikeja Branch resently organic it's business forum point out economic opportunities presented by Artificial intelligence AI for economic growth.


The event was held at marriot Hotel GRA Ikeja Lagos with a Theme: "The future of AI and corporate Governance for Companies.


Speaking at the event is the keynote speaker Dr Desmond Oriakhogbe said the global AI market was expected to soar to $15:7 trillion by 2030


"Nigeria AI market was projected to reach approximately $4:64 billon by 2030.


Oriakhogbe further said this increasing awareness of AI's capabilities and formation of strategies partnership.


The Nigeria Government and private sector are working together to harness the transformative power of AI which expected to drive economic growth and development across various sector he added.


In his own Dr Hakeem ogunniran , chairman of Lagos Building investment company highlighted critical aspects of corporate governance and transformative impact of AI on business practice.


He said corporate governance fundamentally revolve around there question who owns the company for whom said the company be run what are the process and system in place he said.


In his own welcome address the chairman Nigeria Bar Association Ikeja Mr seyi olawumi said today we come together to share insight, foster connection and explore the dynamic landscape of modern business.


Olawumi said this forum represents an  incredible opportunity for us to learn from one another to collaborate and to envision the future of legal work and the value add in house counsel would make to their board and management he said.


In her own remarks the chairperson,of Nigeria Bar Association Ikeja Mrs Ajoke Akinsola said the mandate to the committee of the business forum, therefore is to bridge the gap between our in house counsel colleagues and the larger bar of the NBA.

She said the theme of this maiden event is particularly targeted at how legal counsel can advise their management on technological advancement in Artificial intelligence and how today organization can be guided using the government framework as we navigate through a time of rapid change and unprecedented challenges she said

  The Vice President,of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shettima, has advice the young couples to always preserve the sanctity of marriage as enshrined in the holy books, especially the affirmation of its importance and sanctity in the Qur’an.
