Kosofe Rep: Kafilat Ogbara starts 3 Days Women Empowerment and Constituency Outreach to Promotes Women’s Political Participation*

The three-day constituency outreach organized by Honorable Kafilat Ogbara, Member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Day 1 of this fascinating outreach kicked off with widespread acclaim. The event, themed "Advancing Women Political Participation/Representation," held at the Oloworo Palace in Oworo, Kosofe Local Government Area.



In her opening address, Honorable Kafilat Ogbara emphasized the critical need for increased female participation in politics. She urged women to step forward and engage actively in the political process, stressing the importance of retaining female representation in both the Senate and the House of Representatives.


A standout moment of the outreach was the business empowerment initiative, where Honorable Ogbara distributed 200,000 Naira each to every registered and accredited woman present at the event. This significant financial support was aimed at fostering economic independence and encouraging entrepreneurial ventures among the female participants.


The program witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with many constituents expressing their gratitude and support. "This kind of empowerment is unprecedented in Kosofe Federal Constituency," said a local resident.   The Vice President,of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shettima, has advice the young couples to always preserve the sanctity of marriage as enshrined in the holy books, especially the affirmation of its importance and sanctity in the Qur’an.
