ATCIS Refutes Speculation of Telecommunications Tariff Increase
The Commission would have issued an official statement regarding any tariff increment. Therefore, the public is advised to disregard any individual claiming to be the spokesperson of the NCC. Dr. Mouka, the sole spokesperson of the Commission, stated unequivocally, “I did not speak with the said reporter.”
“I am unaware of the source of his information. He merely penned what suited him, as the report concerning the alleged tariff increase did not originate from us,” he clarified.
Telecommunications Subscribers and the Public Urged to Remain Vigilant
Dr. Mouka further emphasized, “Telecom subscribers and members of the public should be wary of unscrupulous reporters whose aim is to destabilize the telecommunications industry. There is no new tariff, and should any such decision arise, all stakeholders will be duly consulted and informed.”
