Fostering Collaboration for Seamless Project Delivery*

The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation received the Federal Controller of Works, Engr. Olufemi Dare, and his team earlier today. The visit aimed to foster collaboration on seamless project delivery. 


Welcoming the delegates, the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, stated that the meeting would strengthen ties between the two parties. 


He highlighted Lagos' unique challenges, with over 30 million people and a high volume of daily vehicular movement, requiring effective management and safety measures. 


Mr. Osiyemi called for action oriented strategic engagements to achieve desired results in project management. 


Earlier, the Federal Controller of Works emphasized the need for intentional synergy between the Federal Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Transportation to ensure smooth project delivery in Lagos State. 


He highlighted the importance of collaboration on traffic management and coordination, citing the Coastal Road project as a key area requiring joint efforts due to its current high traffic volume. 


The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olawale Musa, responded by promising increased LASTMA Personnel deployment, road signs, and security backup on the Coastal Road corridor. 


He stressed the need for strong collaboration between the two parties.
