Lagos Drivers’ Health & Safety Programme Moves to Eleko Junction
The Lagos State Drivers’ Health and Safety Programme, spearheaded by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport and Logistics, Hon. Hassan Adekoya, continued on Tuesday at Eleko Junction along the Ibeju-Lekki Corridor.
During the exercise, commercial drivers benefited from free eye screening and the provision of corrective glasses, drug testing, and safety sensitisation. Participants were also registered for complimentary drivers’ recertification training, aimed at improving professionalism and safety standards within the transport sector.
The programme reflects the Lagos State Government’s sustained commitment to promoting road safety, safeguarding the health of drivers, and enhancing welfare across the transportation industry.
Recall that the four-day initiative commenced on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Lilypond along the Ijora–Apapa Corridor, where numerous commercial drivers were attended to.
The outreach exercise is scheduled to continue on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Obalende Park.
