The Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has organized the second edition of its monthly “Renewed Hope Cash Grant” programme aimed at empowering residents and supporting small businesses in the community.
Speaking during the event, the Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Mayor Abiodun Jimoh, who was represented by the Executive Vice Chairman, Hon. Soboye Kehinde, said the initiative was part of the administration’s campaign promises to improve the welfare of the people.
According to him, the programme was designed to provide financial support to residents and help strengthen their businesses.
He explained that the first edition of the cash grant programme was held in December to celebrate the administration’s first 100 days in office, during which 300 residents benefited from a grant of ₦100,000 each.
“For this month’s edition, 100 beneficiaries have been selected, and each of them will receive ₦100,000 to support their businesses and improve their livelihoods,” he said.
The council leadership advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds and invest them wisely in their businesses for sustainable growth.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Ojo Joseph from Aboru expressed appreciation to the council leadership for the initiative. He described the programme as a historic development for the community.
“I am very happy with this programme. What Hon. Ajibadero has done by giving ₦100,000 to each beneficiary is something that has never happened in Agbado Oke-Odo before. May God continue to bless him, keep him alive, and enable him to do more for the people,” he said.
The Renewed Hope Cash Grant programme is expected to continue as a monthly initiative aimed at empowering residents and boosting economic activities within the local council area.
