The lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeseyi Lawal, has called on Muslim faithful in his constituency to embrace the true spirit of Eid-el-Fitr as they celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan in 2026.
Hon. Lawal made this appeal on Friday shortly after observing the Eid prayer at Oregun High School in Ikeja. He emphasized the importance of sustaining the values of sacrifice, discipline, love, and generosity cultivated during Ramadan.
According to the lawmaker, Eid-el-Fitr is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the lessons learned during the fasting period and to continue living in peace and harmony with others.
He urged residents of Ikeja Constituency I to promote unity, show compassion to the less privileged, and contribute to the development of the community.
Hon. Lawal also wished Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration, praying that the blessings of Ramadan would continue to abide with them and their families.
