OYSCOHEST Hosts Professional Accreditation Teams for Resource Verification of HND Programmes*

The Oyo State College of Health Sciences and Technology (OYSCOHEST), Eleyele, Ibadan, recently hosted two accreditation teams of two Professional regulatory bodies; Record Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (RORBN) and the Dental Therapist Registration Board of Nigeria (DThRBN).for the resource verification of its Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Health Information Management and Dental Surgery Technology.
Receiving the teams in the Conference Room of the College, the Provost, Mrs Oluyemisi Moradeke Oyewo, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to maintaining high academic and professional standards.
She assured the visiting teams that the College had made deliberate efforts to provide a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
During the visit, the accreditation teams inspected the available facilities in the Departments of Health Information Management and Oral Health Science. The teams also assessed academic and administrative resources including the personnel, the College Library, ICT centre, staff offices, laboratories, demonstration rooms, training equipment and some of the hospitals/ health centres facilitating the students’ practical training.
In their separate exit briefings, the Team Lead of the Record Officers Registration Board of Nigeria, Mr Saliu Rabiu, and the Regisrar of the Dental Therapist Registration Board of Nigeria, Dr Dele Anisere, who led the team commended the Governing Council and Management of the College for their efforts in advancing the institution. They also advised the Management to provide additional facilities to complement the existing ones.
Responding to the observations made by the teams, the Provost, assured them that the issues raised would be carefully addressed in the overall interest of the institution.
She also expressed gratitude to Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for his continuous support and commitment to the growth and development of the College.
Other Principal officers of the College, the Registrar, Mrs Oladupe Ayoola; the Librarian, Mr Emmanuel Olukayode Akinsoji; the Bursar, Mrs Adeola Olanase; and the Director of Works, Engineer Ayokunmi Ojerinde, were also on ground to receive the accreditation teams.
