Soglo Team Toluwalase has organised its 4th annual Ramadan Lecture in support of Hon. Adeseyi Lawal, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, with the theme “Truth and Trustworthiness.”

Speaking at the event, the President of the group, Mr. Serifi Babalola, said the lecture is organised every year during the holy month of Ramadan to appreciate God for witnessing another fasting period and to offer prayers for their leaders.

According to him, the gathering also provides an opportunity for members and supporters to pray for Hon. Adeseyi Lawal to retain his seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Delivering the main message at the event, Alhaji Alkhaleefa Abdusalam Oyewole Kewulere emphasised the importance of truthfulness and trust in society. He noted that Prophet Muhammad is widely known for being a trustworthy person, urging people to emulate such qualities in their daily lives.

He advised attendees to always reflect on how they handle responsibilities given to them.

“When someone gives you something to keep, you should ask yourself if you will return it exactly the way it was given to you,” he said.

In his response, Hon. Adeseyi Lawal appreciated Soglo Team Toluwalase for organising the Ramadan Lecture and for their continuous prayers and support for him.

He also thanked all guests and supporters who attended the programme.

Lawal further called on Islamic clerics at the event to pray for his boss, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, asking God to continue to elevate him and grant all his prayers.

The lawmaker also used the occasion to advise members of the public to live morally upright lives, warning against engaging in relationships with another person’s spouse.

He added that people should be mindful of their actions and words.

“Our tongue and our eyes can take us to a good place, and they can also take us to a bad place,” he said.

The Ramadan lecture brought together religious leaders, community members, and political supporters who prayed for peace, unity, and good leadership.
