APC Leaders Endorse Adeseyi Lawal as Consensus Candidate for Ikeja Constituency1

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ikeja Constituency I have unanimously endorsed Adeseyi Lawal as the party’s consensus candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The endorsement was announced during the APC General Assembly convened by James Abiodun Faleke, a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and federal lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency.

The gathering was attended by party leaders, executives, stakeholders and members from Ikeja Constituencies I and II, alongside other aspirants for the Assembly seat, including Wale Ajala, Bimbo Oshikoya and Oladipo.

Addressing the meeting, Mr Faleke commended party members for their commitment to the unity and electoral success of the APC in Ikeja. He also praised the peaceful conduct of the party primaries held so far and stressed the need for loyalty to the party and respect for decisions reached by its leadership.

Following consultations and agreements among the aspirants contesting for the Ikeja Constituency I seat, Mr Lawal was unanimously adopted as the APC consensus candidate for the 2027 elections.

Mr Faleke further urged the lawmaker to continue improving his representation in order to deliver greater benefits to constituents and party members.

Responding after the endorsement, Mr Lawal expressed appreciation to party leaders and members for the confidence reposed in him and for granting him another opportunity to serve the people of Ikeja Constituency I.

He pledged to improve on his service delivery and remain committed to inclusive and quality representation for residents of the constituency.

The lawmaker also commended fellow aspirants for their maturity and support, describing their cooperation as a reflection of unity and shared commitment to the progress of the party.

With the endorsement secured, the APC primaries scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, are expected to serve as a formal ratification of the consensus decision reached by party leaders and stakeholders.
