Hon. Adeseyi Lawal Emerges APC Consensus Candidate for Ikeja Constituency 1

Hon. Adeseyi Lawal has emerged unopposed as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ikeja Constituency 1 ahead of the 2027 elections.

The affirmation took place on Wednesday at St. Peter Primary School, Ikeja, where party faithful, delegates, and stakeholders gathered in large numbers to endorse his candidacy, demonstrating strong grassroots support within the constituency.

Speaking after his emergence, Lawal expressed gratitude to party leaders, stakeholders, women, youths, delegates, and APC members across Ikeja Constituency 1 for the confidence reposed in him.

He described the overwhelming support as a humbling experience and pledged to intensify efforts toward youth and widow empowerment while unveiling additional community-based projects aimed at further developing Ikeja, which he referred to as the “city of government.”

Lawal also commended the President for what he described as notable achievements in infrastructure development, particularly road construction, while urging eligible voters to continue supporting the APC.

The lawmaker acknowledged the sacrifices and commitment of party members over the years, stressing that unity and party supremacy remain essential to securing victory in the forthcoming elections.

He further praised APC leaders in the constituency for their guidance and support, noting that collective responsibility and cooperation would strengthen the party’s chances at the polls.

Also speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman of Onigbogbo LCDA, Hon. Samsondeen Oloyede, expressed confidence in Lawal’s continued exemplary service and projected his return to the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Oloyede offered prayers for Lawal’s success and called on residents and party members to support all APC candidates in the January 2027 elections.

He emphasized the need for voters to elect credible candidates and urged party faithful to unite behind APC aspirants to ensure sustained progress and development in Ikeja Constituency 1.
