The Honorable Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairperson of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. (Chief) Mrs. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, has issued a powerful and inspiring message across her social media pages to commemorate this year's Democracy Day.

“Today, as we celebrate 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria, I join our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) in paying absolute tribute to the heroes of the June 12 struggle. As the President rightly noted this morning, those brilliant patriots secured our political freedom; our challenge today is to build a Nation where economic prosperity and justice are accessible to all.


Today, we are reminded once again that democracy is not merely a system of government or a passive ideal; it is a sacred covenant between leaders and the people, built and sustained by accountability, institutional integrity, representation, justice, and genuine service to the People.


As the Honorable Member representing the good people of Kosofe Federal Constituency, I remain steadfast in my commitment to ensuring that the voices, aspirations, and concerns of our constituents are heard and reflected in the legislative process. Every bill, motion, oversight engagement, and intervention I undertake is guided by the deep trust reposed in me by the wonderful people of Kosofe.
