Prophet Godwin Ikuru Urges Nigerians to Prioritize Rescue of Kidnapped Children Over Protests
By oluwaseyi fadoro
The Founder of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by allowing his administration to govern in peace while focusing national attention on the rescue of children and other victims abducted by kidnappers across the country.
Speaking with journalists in Lagos, Prophet Ikuru questioned the impact of protests being held in major cities such as Lagos and Ibadan, arguing that the nation's most urgent concern should be the plight of innocent children and citizens being held captive in forests and remote locations by criminal groups.
According to the cleric, Nigerians should channel their energy toward efforts aimed at securing the release of abducted victims rather than engaging in demonstrations that could create tension and distract from critical security challenges.
He stressed that President Tinubu, as the country's leader, deserves respect and support, noting that leadership should be approached with dignity and understanding.
Prophet Ikuru also condemned the use of offensive and insulting language against the President, urging citizens to respect constituted authority and avoid actions capable of undermining national unity and stability.
Expressing confidence in the President's future, the religious leader stated that President Tinubu would remain strong and healthy and predicted that he would emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election.
He concluded by encouraging Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and constructive engagement while working collectively to address the nation's security concerns, particularly the growing challenge of kidnapping and the safe return of those still in captivity.
