As part of the ongoing urban regeneration and infrastructural advancement of Governor Charles Soludo's government, the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved strategic contracts to further beautify Awka metropolis and to combat flooding. According to the State's Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, ANSEC at its fourth meeting held in the Council Chamber on February 24, 2025, approved the reconstruction and fortification of the perimeter fence at the commissioners' quarters, Awka, and construction of 2 NR model gates at general hospitals, with additional work of landscaping; interlocking and fencing of Enugwu-Otu Aguleri Hospital Compound. ANSEC at its fourth meeting held in the Council Chamber on February 24, 2025, asserted its commitment to the eradication of counterfeit drugs in Anambra and its backing for the NAFDAC scheme.
