2021 TREE PLANTING COMPAIGN







The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tunji Bello, represented by Dr. Joe Igbokwe, the MD/CEO of LAWMA, Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, and other environmental partners, featured in this year’s tree planting campaign with the theme: ‘Restore and Recover’, which took place today, at the Muri-Okunola Park, Victoria Island.

  The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Oyo State Wing, has raised concern over the abduction of a primary school headmaster in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of the state.   A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Deputy Chief Whip, Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi, has formally resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), citing unresolved internal crisis within the party. In a resignation letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of the PDP, Ward 6, Ibadan Southwest Local Government Area of Oyo State, the lawmaker stated that his decision to leave the party was taken after careful consideration of the lingering challenges affecting the party’s internal structure and operations.
