Kuta Celebration: Olowu Of Kuta Urged The Indigenes To Seek For Development Of The Land.
The Olowu of Owu-Kuta, HRM Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude, Makama said there is a cordial relationship between the government of Osun and the good people of kuta land.
Olowu of kuta disclose this during the 31st kuta celebration held at kuta town in Ayedire local government Osun.
He said we need to sustain the strive for the development of Kuta, Oba Oyelude urged indigenes of the land to align their interests for the greatness of the motherland.
“When our politicians come into power, of what impact has it been to us?
“When the time comes, we will still express our mind to the authority.
“It appears we are lucky at the moment with Hon. Yinusa Amobi as our federal representative in Abuja. We are seeing constituency project during his time unlike our previous representatives.
“Let us leverage on the opportunity of our sons and daughters in position of authority.
“Ayedire local government Chairman should understand that unity of our local government is important.
“We need to do what is right.
“Kuta Indigenes should emulate the kind of cooperation in Ile-ogbo community for the development of our land.
“We Kuta people must have a renewal of heart and use politics to our advantage.
“What we lose at the State and Federal levels is more than our gains.
“Let us do away with factionalism and unite as one.”
The ceremony which was also used to launch ₦100 million development appeal fund was attended by sons and daughters of Kuta land, dignitaries and political functionaries including a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ayedire, Olaoluwa and Iwo federal constituency, Hon. Yinusa Amobi, Chairman, Ayedire local government, Engr. Adejare Adigun, former Chairman, Ayedire local government, Otunba Mukaila Oladejo, traditional rulers among others.
Earlier in his welcome address, the President, Kuta United Front, Deacon Adegboyega Adeniran, disclosed the pride of indigenes and residents of Kuta in having Oba Adekunle Oyelude as the Olowu of Owu-Kuta for his tireless contributions to the development of Kuta land.
“Please permit me to also pay tribute to and acknowledge the efforts of The Olowu of Kuta land, HRM Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude, Tegbosun III, not only at ensuring peace within Kuta community and her environs but also at uplifting and projecting the Owu-Kuta kingdom within the State, nationally and internationally.
