Lagos State Empowers 2,500 Graduates With Employability Skills For Accelerated Development.

Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, took a significant step in empowering 2,500 graduates who recently joined the Graduates Internship Placement Program (GIPP). The onboarding program, themed "Igniting a Future of Opportunities and Excellence," aims to enhance the employability landscape across the state and provide practical skills and real-world experiences to the youth of Lagos.


During the onboarding ceremony, Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, highlighted the program's role in empowering the youth and expressed gratitude to Governor Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his leadership and commitment to youth empowerment.


The program focuses on equipping graduates with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in the job market. The Commissioner congratulated the participants for their dedication during the Pre-internship Employability Skills Development Program and urged them to embrace every opportunity during their internship.


The event was graced by the presence of notable figures including Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Secretary to State Government (SSG). Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, H.E Adejoke Orelope represented by the former chairman of Alimosho LGA Sir Ayo Akinyemi, Cabinet Members, Head of Service, Mr Agoro Shuaheeb Olabode, other political leaders in the state and representatives of partner organizations, consultants, and key stakeholders.
