Ganduje’s Resignation: Why You Must Not Joke With Primate Ayodele’s Prophecies*

Image
 * By Tofunmi Adeniji When prophets speak about someone, it’s always better for the recipient to listen with an open mind, try to think about the reason behind such words, seek clarifications where necessary, and even speak to the prophet if necessary, because they don’t just speak without seeing anything. Unfortunately, many people get it wrong and resort to counterattacks as though prophets are troublemakers. Whenever a prophecy doesn’t favour them, they quickly employ media agents to speak ill of the prophet, even as far as lying against them. They automatically assume the position of an antagonist against a prophet who innocently gave a word of knowledge, but in the end, that very thing they abused the prophet for ends up coming to pass. They end up as bad losers. This is the situation of the APC National Chairman, Umar Ganduje, who has submitted his resignation letter in what seems like a sudden development. Although he gave reasons like health concerns but many political acto...

Where Is Primate Theophilus Olabayo?*

Image
 * In life, some people have crawled so that others may walk, some have walked so that others may run, and some have run so that others may fly. There is nothing that exists that doesn’t have a beginning, and in the beginning, there were people who held the fort for others to enjoy today. In the prophetic realm of Nigeria today, Primate Theophilus Olabayo of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh Worldwide is that one person who gave so many prophets we see today the courage to delve into several things. His ministry and personality, which many observe from afar, is the reason we have fearless prophets still operating in the country—prophets who don’t mind saying the truth to power regardless of the consequences. Without Primate Olabayo, many of them whom we see today may still be hiding behind the four corners of their churches. Now the Big Question: Where Is Primate Theophilus Olabayo? For the newbies or Gen Zs who have not come across Primate Olabayo, permit me to take a deep dive int...

Why Nigeria’s Podcast Boom Is Really About Building Community

Image
By Tosin Adefeko The world is saturated with news, hot takes, and highlight reels, but very little of it feels real. In all that noise, it’s the stories that sound like us, look like us, and reflect what we’ve actually lived that truly cut through. Stories that connect, not perform. That’s what podcasting offers in a time when so much content is designed to be consumed, not felt. And here in Nigeria, that need for connection is even more urgent. We’re navigating a lot; culturally, politically, economically. But beneath the headlines and the data points are everyday people who want to be heard. People with stories that don’t make the front page but shape the way we understand ourselves. That’s what podcasts are holding space for: truth-telling, memory-keeping, and community-building. All through voice. At The Muvmnt Studio, storytelling is the foundation of everything we do. It’s how we connect people, communities, and culture. As strategic communications consultants, we have alwa...
