OYO OPC URGES RESIDENTS OF OYO STATE AND IBARAPA LAND TO BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS DURING EID -KABIR

..Assures ibarapa people of their safety during this festive period.


   The Oyo state chapter of the oodua peoples Congress OPC, led by the 15th Ona Are kakanfo iba Gani Adams has assured the people of Oyo state and ibarapa land of their safety during and after eid-kabir .


  Comrade Rotimi Olumo the Oyo state coordinator made this known to journalist in a statement issued in Ibadan Oyo state capital yesterday.


   He maintained that OPC has put necessary measure to curb the activities of Fulani herdsmen and bandits in Oyo state.


  It will be recalled that comrade rotimi olumo raised the alarm last week over plans by Fulani herdsmen and bandits to attack some part of ibarapa region of the Oyo state. 


Comrade rotimi olumo however condemned what happened on Friday between the Nigeria customs and smugglers in ibarapa land where several life's was lost. He said that OPC will not tolerate such action again.


Comrade  Olumo also advised Muslims to be security conscious and observant on the praying ground. He said that lot of security strategy has been put in place to protect the people of Oyo state.


  He also said that iba Gani Adams has directed him to deployed OPC members to each praying ground in ibarapa land. Wishing all Muslims faithful happy eid-kabir.

  The Vice President,of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shettima, has advice the young couples to always preserve the sanctity of marriage as enshrined in the holy books, especially the affirmation of its importance and sanctity in the Qur’an.
