TOYOTA CAMRY PLUNGES FROM OTEDOLA BRIDGE - LASTMA EMPHASIZES RIGOROUS COMPLIANCE WITH SPEED REGULATIONS.

  The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) hereby informs the general public of a grave road traffic incident that transpired earlier today on Otedola Bridge, involving a Toyota Camry with registration number KJA 126 BH, which tragically veered off the upper deck of the bridge and descended to the lower level. Preliminary findings indicate that the female motorist, while travelling at an excessive speed, abruptly applied her brakes upon perceiving another vehicle maneuvering into the service lane ahead of her. This sudden deceleration destabilized her vehicle, causing it to veer uncontrollably and ultimately plummet off the bridge—leaving her critically injured.   The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has intensified its preparations for the Ember months, implementing a robust traffic management strategy to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety during the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations. During a strategic meeting held at LASTMA Headquarters, Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa, called on LASTMA officers to adopt proactive measures in anticipation of the increased traffic volume and illegal roadside trading typically associated with the festive season.
