 * The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, OYOSUBEB, has officially released results, of its just concluded computer-based tests. This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, which was made available to the journalists on Wednesday in Ibadan. In the statement Dr. Adeniran said the Board has set minimum cut-off marks for qualification to the next stage in the recruitment exercise.  Dr. Adeniran said the cut-off mark in the exercise, is 50%. The cut off mark, according to him will set the tone for the recruitment process.   * …says smart bins will revolutionalise waste management in the state The Managing Director/CEO of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, has charged Lagos residents to acquire waste bins for domestic storage of waste, to promote a clean home and sustainable environment. He gave the charge at LAWMA headquarters, Ijora Olopa, on Tuesday, during the demonstration of evacuation of LAWMA smart bins, by waste evacuation trucks. Gbadegesin stated  that the introduction of the smart bins in the state’s waste management system, was a game changer, as it would quicken the process of waste collection by assigned PSP operators. He said, “The smart bin has added features that improves the functionality. For example, this smart bin has a RFID chain that will enable us to know when it is emptied by the PSP operators. Telecom consumers and the public may recall the compulsory linkage of NIN with SIM, which commenced in December 2020 when the government mandated telecommunication companies to bar unregistered SIM cards and those SIMs not linked to a NIN. Since December 2023, the Commission has revised the deadline several times; initially set for 15 April 2024, for the complete network barring of subscribers with four or fewer SIMs that had unverified NIN details.
