Prophet Godwin Ikuru Calls for Youths and Nigerians to Abstain from Proposed Protests**

Prophet Godwin Ikuru, the founder of Eye Salvation Ministry in Lagos, has called upon the youth and all Nigerians to refrain from participating in the proposed protests and to give the government the opportunity to implement its policies. 


In a conversation with journalists at his residence yesterday, Prophet Ikuru cautioned that such actions could have detrimental effects on the nation and its citizens. He emphasized that while the administration of President Tinubu is not directly responsible for food production, it plays a crucial role in regulating prices within markets, supermarkets, and local shops. He commended the government's efforts to support farmers by providing grains and other essentials but underscored the necessity for further measures to control prices and alleviate the burden on ordinary Nigerians.


Prophet Ikuru warned that protests, if not properly focused, could harm the economy, drawing parallels to Kenya, where previous protests allegedly had negative consequences. He suggested that any demonstrations should specifically target the high cost of food and essential commodities rather than addressing broader political grievances.


Expressing concern over potential hidden agendas behind the planned protests, which he suspects might aim to discredit the current administration, Prophet Ikuru urged parents and guardians to advise their children against participating. He appealed for patience, assuring the public that the government is actively working to resolve the rising cost of living.


To address these economic challenges, Ikuru proposed the establishment of a Ministry of Price Control to regulate the sale of goods, ensuring that prices are set with humanitarian considerations in mind. He implored sellers to consider the welfare of their fellow citizens when setting prices, advocating for a more compassionate and regulated market system to bring about meaningful change to Nigeria's economic landscape.
