Dangote Refinery Affirms Capacity to Supply 75m Litres of PMS, 25m Litres of Diesel, 20m Litres of Jet Fuel Daily

      Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reaffirmed its capacity to supply fuel volumes significantly more than Nigeria’s estimated domestic consumption.   The refinery said it can supply 75 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) daily against an estimated national consumption of 50 million litres, alongside 25 million litres of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) compared with an estimated daily demand of 14 million litres.  * The Lagos State Government today convened a stakeholders’ engagement meeting on the proposed Obalende Bus Park redevelopment project.  The initiative seeks to transform the existing Obalende Bus Park into a modern, well-structured transport hub through a public-private partnership with MTN Nigeria. Representatives of MTN Nigeria disclosed that the project is expected to be completed within 21 weeks from the date of commencement. The redevelopment will be executed in three major components: the Main Bus Park, Bus Park 2, and ancillary facilities including a Loading Bay and Park Garden. The Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR) has condemned what it described as a “misleading and fabricated” statement issued by the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, over the recent crackdown on protesters at the Assembly complex. In a press statement released on Thursday, CHSR rejected claims by the lawmaker that protesters attempted to force their way into the Assembly premises, insisting that the demonstration was peaceful and orderly. According to the organization, the protest involved victims of ongoing demolitions across parts of Lagos State, including Makoko and its environs, who were exercising their constitutional right to peaceful assembly.     Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals reaffirms its commitment to market stability and uninterrupted nationwide supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).   During the recent festive period, the Refinery implemented a deliberate and temporary price support intervention to cushion Nigerians at a time of heightened household spending. This marked the second consecutive festive season in which the Refinery absorbed significant costs in the national interest, including logistics support in 2024 and a price reduction in 2025 to promote affordability and market calm.   Despite the price reduction, many filling stations failed to reflect the new price at the pump, thereby denying Nigerians the benefits of the reduction. With the festive period concluded, PMS prices have been modestly realigned to sustainable levels to support long term market stability and affordability. The outreach, which targeted both civilians and military personnel, aimed to raise awareness and offer life saving intervention against hepatitis B and C.
