Lagos Needs Non-Indigene Governor for Progress — Prophet Ikuru Tells Tinubu

The founder of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu risks losing political support in Lagos State if a non-indigene is not considered for the governorship.

Speaking at his residence in Lagos while addressing journalists, Prophet Ikuru emphasized the need for inclusivity in the state’s leadership.

According to him, Lagos, being a cosmopolitan hub, requires a governor who represents all residents, regardless of ethnic origin.

He argued that at this stage of its development, Lagos State would benefit from leadership that reflects its diverse population, noting that a non-indigene governor could bring broader perspectives and foster unity.

Prophet Ikuru added that such a move would not only strengthen political stability but also accelerate the state’s progress by promoting fairness and equal representation among its residents.
