Renewed Hope Ambassadors Mobilise 3,500 Lagos Leaders for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

 

The Lagos State Directorate of Christian Affairs of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has intensified its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, unveiling plans to mobilise about 3,500 leaders across the 20 local government areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State.

The mobilisation meeting, held on Tuesday at the organisation’s secretariat at 7B Oduduwa Way, Ikeja, Lagos, brought together coordinators from various senatorial districts, local government areas and LCDAs to strengthen the group’s grassroots structures and coordinate its campaign activities ahead of the elections.

The meeting, which commenced at about 12:10 p.m. with more than 30 minutes of intercessory prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the organisation’s leadership and Nigeria, was presided over by the Director of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Lagos State Directorate of Christian Affairs, Rev. Dr Sam Ogedengbe.

In his welcome address, Ogedengbe commended the coordinators for their commitment and support, urging them to remain dedicated to the objectives of the organisation and intensify efforts towards grassroots mobilisation.

He specifically called on coordinators across the LGAs and LCDAs to embark on extensive church-to-church sensitisation and mobilisation, stressing the importance of reaching Christian communities across Lagos with the organisation’s message ahead of the 2027 elections.

Ogedengbe urged members to work diligently towards what he described as a decisive electoral victory for President Tinubu and his political allies, assuring participants that their commitment and contributions to the mobilisation effort would be recognised.

The meeting also featured the introduction of participants and the announcement of Senatorial District Coordinators for Lagos West and Lagos East. New coordinators from various LGAs and LCDAs were unveiled, while some existing structures were reorganised into smaller units to improve coordination and grassroots effectiveness.

A major component of the meeting was the accreditation of coordinators. Participants presented their respective action plans, which were reviewed and received positively by the leadership. The Secretary subsequently announced the names of accredited coordinators on the nominal list, with those present confirming their attendance.

The directorate also unveiled its communication and mobilisation strategy, including the use of jingles designed to sensitise and mobilise supporters. The jingles were played during the meeting and received positively by participants.

Administrative matters were addressed by the Director of Administration, Primate Akindele, while further deliberations were held during breakout sessions involving the various senatorial groups and the Women’s Group.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for media engagements, with members of the directorate and selected coordinators interviewed by the organisation’s Media Team. The proceedings were simultaneously streamed live.

The gathering also witnessed an endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term by Christian leaders associated with the movement. Among those identified were Baba Alao of the Celestial Church of Christ, Archbishop Olawuyi of the Methodist Church, Prophet Ayorinde of WEBIC, and Rev. Dr Sam Ogedengbe, General Overseer of Overcomers Church and President of the All Christian Leaders and Ministers Forum.

The leaders expressed support for Tinubu’s continued leadership and urged their members to remain united and actively participate in the political process ahead of the 2027 elections.
