The trial of the principal suspect in the alleged murder of two prominent sons of the Ajiran Community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State has been adjourned by the Lagos State High Court, Igbosere.

The case, which came up for hearing at Court 8 before Justice Abdul-Raheem Muyideen, was adjourned following issues raised by the court concerning certain requirements the prosecution was expected to fulfil before the trial could proceed.

Recall that during proceedings in June and July, the court had scheduled the trial for November 3, 5, 9 and 10.

However, following the prosecution's need to address some outstanding requirements identified by the court, the presiding judge considered it necessary to vacate the earlier dates and reschedule the proceedings.

Consequently, the court adjourned the matter to November 10, 19 and 25 for further proceedings.

The case concerns the alleged killing of two prominent members of the Ajiran Community, an incident that has attracted considerable attention within the community and beyond.

Further proceedings are expected to determine the next stage of the trial.
