AKANDE-SADIPE EMERGERS RADIO NNIGERIA OUTSTANDING HERO





Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora, on Saturday in Ibadan received an award as the Radio Nigeria Outstanding Hero of the year. 


According to the organizers, Radio Nigeria (South-West Zone), the Outstanding Hero’s Award is a Nationally recognised leadership award, dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the achievements of individuals in leadership. 


Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe was awarded for her exceptional contribution as a member at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly. 


Speaking after the award, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe expressed her gratitude to the leadership of Radio Nigeria, South-West Zone for recognising her contributions to the development of Nigeria. 


Akande-Sadipe, who represents Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State, therefore called on women to join politics, where they could contribute their quota to the growth of the Nation's Economy. 


Congratulating the awardee, the Ag. Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal station, Mrs. Bolanle Owoyemi noted that she was carefully selected based on her courage and leadership role, having also shown tangible results as Representative of a constituency. 


Mrs. Owoyemi said her performances in quality representation and delivery of excellent services as Federal Honourable Member prompted Ibadan Zonal Office to recognise her. 


Reacting to her citation, she ascertained that Akande-Sadipe has contributed meaningfully to the legislative arm, through several motions, facilitating empowerment programmes, transformers, schools, boreholes and road repairs across her constituency. 


She described her as an astute public personality with an unbeatable track record and a leader of a reputable standard, whom Oluyole Federal Constituency is lucky to have.
