In a statement jointly signed by its Secretary-General, Alhaji Lukman Adedire, and Publicity Secretary, Victor Akingbayi, the socio-cultural organisation described the demand as a dangerous attempt to undermine the constitutional order, peace, and cultural identity of Oyo State and the wider South-West region. The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Delta State SDP Electoral Committee, Hon. Osasuyi Amadasun, after the conclusion of the primary held to select the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming senatorial election.
