  The Rotary Club of Iyaganku Ibadan has installed Rotarian Otunba Oyedapo Richard Idowu as its 38th President for the 2026/2027 Rotary year, with a renewed commitment to creating lasting impact through humanitarian service and community development. The investiture ceremony, which also featured the induction of the club’s Board of Directors and a fundraising campaign, was held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. Sanwo-Olu Orders Security Agencies to Arrest Festac-Alakija Bridge Vandals

  Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has directed security agencies to track down and arrest those responsible for the vandalism of the Festac-Alakija Bridge. The governor described the act as barbaric and criminal, warning that the Lagos State Government would not tolerate any attempt to damage critical public infrastructure. Sanwo-Olu said officials of the Office of Infrastructure had inspected the bridge and confirmed that its structural integrity remained intact. He, however, directed that immediate remedial works be carried out to protect the bridge columns and prevent further damage. The governor vowed that anyone found to have participated in the vandalism would be made to face the full weight of the law.
