Ojelabi Mourns Tayo Sanyaolu, expresses shock

Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) in  Lagos State, has expressed shock at the sudden death of Mr Omotayo Sanyaolu, the Senior Special Assistant on Tertiary Education, Youth and Student Affairs to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Ojelabi described Sanyaolu,  the immediate past Youth Leader of the Lagos State Chapter of the APC, as a vibrant, committed, loyal and dedicated member  and youth mobilizer  to the progressive  course of the party in the state.

The APC Chairman in a statement issued on Saturday by his Director, Media and Communication, Ayaba Omobola Nowoola-Akingbehin, described the death as rude and shocking.

He said that it was destabilising as it happened when Sanyaolu's wealth of experience regarding youth mobilisation would have been at the service of the APC as it prepares for the forthcoming  2023 general elections.

He said, "We received the news of the sudden death of late Omotayo Sanyaolu with utmost shock and dismay.

" What a terrible loss is this again to the APC family and the youth in general.

"Tayo was a very vibrant and reliable youth leader, whom we had  expected  would mobilised our youths to ensure that our party wins  in  the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

"Tayo was more than a political youth  leader, he remained completely and passionately loyal to the progressive  ideals of our noble party.

" Oh! Tayo, we love you but God loves you most.

"The Lagos APC takes solace in the fact that Omotayo  lived a purposeful  life and  left his footprints  on the sand of time.

"He  contributed  massively to the successes of the party in the state in every assignment he was given while alive.

"His  tract records will be difficult for anyone to erase or be  forgotten in the history of Lagos APC as the former youth leader of the party.

"It was a position he served with zeal and utmost importance  which contributed to many wins for us.

"Adieu Omotayo Sanyaolu!"

Ojelabi expressed his condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Lagos state government and the entire Lagos APC family.

May your soul rest in perfect peace and

may God grant the family you  left behind and all of us in the APC,the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, the Chairman stated in the statement.

It would be recalled that Sanyaolu died on Friday after he was  involved in an auto crash in Lagos.
