Keyamo Warns Nigerians Not To Use Their Vote To Return Nigeria To Egypt

Following the People's Democratic Party, PDP's National Working Committee, NWC's 90million-naira bribery and house rent episode, the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council has warned Nigerians not to use their vote to return Nigeria to Egypt, insisting that a leopard never changed its skin.

The APC Campaign Council warning is coming just as some members of the PDP's NWC returned the sum of 93.6million-naira paid into their various accounts by the party Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, despite the party's earlier refutal of the allegation.

Ayu had allegedly transferred the money to the NWC members' accounts from the over 10billion-naira realized from the sales of nomination form by the party during the primaries.

The PDP's NWC members who returned the money to the party include, the National Vice Chairman, South West, Olasoji Adagunodo; the Deputy National Chairman, South, Taofeek Arapaja; the National Vice Chairman, South, Dan Orbih and the National Women Leader, Stella Affah-Attoe.

Reacting to what he described, as a ludicrous refutal of the allegation by the PDP, the Chief Spokesperson and Director of Public Affairs of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, said such behavior is typical of Egypt and Nigerians must be careful not to return to the era of the PDP.

Keyamo, who is also the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, further warned Nigerians against voting for the PDP, saying a party that could use its scarce funds to illegally pay for house rents of its NWC's members would not hesitate to use Nigerians' scarce resources for its members personal gain.

In a tweet on his official Twitter handle, the Campaign Council Spokesperson wondered that rather than apologize to the people, the PDP that's obviously a leopard that never changed its skin, finds it convinience to lie to Nigerians that the payment of the money to its NWC's members was legitimate.

Keyamo however urged Nigerians to look before they leap during the 2023 presidential election, noting a party that claims it wants to rescue Nigeria, has shown it obviously can't even rescue itself.

His words: "This makes the story of PDP even worse. How can you use about N30 million of scarce party funds to pay for house rent of just ONE MEMBER of the NWC? A party struggling to regain power at the center? Gosh! Instead of this ludicrous refutal, Nigerians should be getting an apology!"
