NBA Ikeja opens KP lawyers lounge for relaxation

 




The Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Ikeja Branch, Lagos, has flagged-off operation of KP Lounge, aimed at providing relaxation to lawyers.


Speaking at commissioning, President, Nigeria Bar Association Y. Maikyau, SAN, commended the executive members of ikeja bar for the rare ingenuity building the lounge in Ikeja.


Maikyau said, "This will give lawyers to have a place to relax when they are waiting to call their matter in court."


He therefore, urged the lawyers to add value to the lounge by engaging in something meaningful while at the lounge.


According to the former Chairman of ikeja bar association, Dr. Monday Ubani, "This is a good thing that is happening in Ikeja and we believe that government is a continuity when i was there that was when we finished the bar center and now this administration has put up a lounge for lawyers to relax.


"It show that the leadership is good and they know the need of the people and any good administration must leave a worthy legacy.


"I'm very happy to see this happening in my branch and we want the next administration to maintain it very well and to add more to it so that anybody that enter Ikeja branch can see what they have done for the lawyer."


In his own words the secretary of the Ikeja bar association mr Adeyemi Abijo said we believe a lawyer need a place to sit out and enjoy themselves .

As a lawyer we work very had and we need place like a lounge to relax and keep the soul and to give us going at all the time, and this is what motive us to build this kind of lounge and within 3months this place had been put together.


Aboju said this is known to run by the association they will give it out to people that we mange it and it only for lawyers alone.
