2023 Election: APC Women in Badagry Division mobilises support for Asiwaju, other candidates

 




Representatives of the All Progressives Congress Women (APC) in Badagry Division, Lagos state  converged on Tuesday at Amuwo Odofin Local Government, to mobilizing women for the forthcoming general elections.



The meeting which was organized by the former Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Her Excellency, Priness Sarah Sosan, was attended by former deputy governor and senatorial candidate of the APC in Lagos West, Dr. Idiat Adebule, ife of the APC leader in Lagos west, Yeye  Oluwa, Badagry Division Woman Leader, mana Ajao, Executive Chairman, Oriade LCDA, Ramota Akinola-Hassan and women leaders in Lagos west, among others.


Welcoming participants to the meeting, Sosan disclosed that the meeting was crucial for the women leaders to exchange ideas on the best way to massively mobilise and sensitise women to drum support for the Lagos West Senatorial Candidate, Adebule, presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Govenor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all other APC candidates in the state.



It was time for "operation win your polling units" and APC  Badagry Division Women Forum didn't dissapoint as the women came out in large numbers to join the solidarity gathering for all the APC candidates. 


She iterates that, it is time for women to rise to the responsibility of being a part of a new Lagos West that was about to be birthed. She urged women to come out en-masse during the 2023 Election to vote for all APC candidates. 


She explained that Lagos is the home for everyone urging the women to canvass support for the party without any ethnic colouration noting that the state is a model of unity and would continue to prove its leading role in the polity of the nation by making a statement with their votes come 2023 urging them to canvass support from everyone they come across in the state without ethic biases. 


Sosan said that all members of the party must continue with the foundation of inclusiveness laid by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that stand in the oneness of Nigeria. 


"As we look forward to a better Nigeria and approach the 2023 elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the answer. For our senatorial candidate, Adebule, her experience and character has brought her thus far and we shall give her our support to ensure she emerges the next senator in Lagos west."


Dr Idiat Adebule with an emphatic enthusiasm, said that Badagry Division believed in the vision for a New Nigeria and that only one man has the capacity presently, to lead  the country  come 2023, which is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.  


She also said, "We in Badagry Division wants to be mentioned amongst those who made the new Nigeria possible".She encouraged women to stand to the task of winning all polling units across the country for every APC Candidates and most importantly to vote for her as the Senator, Lagos West.


 She also mentioned that the meeting was a strategic move towards rallying support for the APC because it remains the party to beat at all levels.


She added that she will ensure effective and regular training programmes for women at the grassroots to build their capacities across all spheres of life, if she is elected.


"Women are gathered here to plan and strategize towards the coming elections. When I get there, I will not disappoint them. Women and youths economic empowerment, with trainings will be a commonplace. We will ensure our women are not left behind in government initiatives and programmes."


The meeting which was attended by women leaders across the Badagry Division, had over 2000 women in attendance.
