NIS Open New Office In Alimohso

 





The minister of interior,Ogbeni  Rauf Aregbesola on Monday commission Lagos  Alimohso passport office established by Nigeria Immigration service to implementation of passport reforms and also to make the application processing and Collection of Nigeria international passport more accessible for the public


While speaking at the event the minister of interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola said ,we established this passport office in Alimohso to decongest traffic at ikoyi ,festac and Alawusa passport offices and also bring service closer to our people.


While expressing his satisfaction Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola with the tremendous progress made in easing the challenges in passport procurement over the last two years, explained that the newly inaugurated passport office would ensure traveling public in and around Alimohso area would not need to go far before they can get their passport done.


Aregbesola now further said not less than 14 fort passport office will be open in Lagos because Lagos take 50 percent of all the application Nigeria passport in the country.


He also said due to funding constraint , government might consider public, private partnership arrangements to set up more passport front office as part of other ways to deal with challenges in Urban centres .


Aregbesola said in less than few days more passport office will be open in some state , ilesa,in osun , Oyo,in Oyo state,Daura kastsina state,Jere Zaria in kaduna and a special one at Murtala Mohammed international Airport for Nigerian in Diaspora with expired passport to renew their passport or get reissue.


Also speaking at the event is the NIS Boss Mr Isah jere Idris said Alimohso passport front office was commissioned with a view to decongesting passport processing/ issuing centers with overwhelming traffic such as ikoyi, ikeja and Festac passport office.


He now use the medium to assured people that Immigration service would continue to render efficient and effective service delivery to the public,also call on the users of immigration services to avail themselves of the various digital platform and channels put in place to reduce interference in the process of applying for the Nigeria passport.


In his own welcome address the Alimohso local governments chairman,Hon jelili welcome Hon minister of interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to his home the lagerst local governments in Lagos.

He Alimohso people are very happy put this passport office in there area and with this we don't need to go ikeja or ikoyi before we have our passport done.

Jelili now use the medium to promise his support for the passport office.
