Nigerians Deserves An Improvement In The Conduct of the Electoral Process Says Fasola

 




The Minister for work and Housing

Babatunde Fashola has that he is glad with the way BVAS machine turned out at his polling unit during the Governorship and House of Assembly polls. 


Fashola who cast his ballot few minutes to mid day at Unit 023 on Itolo Street in Surulere said the entire process was seamless. 


According to him, Nigerians though deserves an improvement in the conduct of the Electoral process by INEC adding that casting aspersions on them may prevent the right people to seek employment there.


The Minister explained that the major challenge faced by INEC during the first leg of 2023 general elections was more of Logistics.


According to him, other neighbouring countries that engages INEC as consultants would not have done so if they have been found wanting in their conduct.


He disclosed that he was recently in Abidjan where some Ministers from that country were discussing the performance of INEC which he said they described as huge and satisfactory.


Fashola noted that INEC had become a brand which Nigerians must avoid pulling down.


He concluded saying that no human endeavour is perfect and that INEC should be commended when it did well despite that challenges facing it.
