LAUTECH ACADEMIC COLLABORATION COMMITTEE TEAM AND THE FACULTY OF NURSING VISIT OYSCOHEST FOR DENTAL NURSING PROGRAMME FACILITIES' ASSESSMENT, COMMENDS COLLEGE MANAGEMENT FOR MEETING REQUIRED STANDARD

The combined team of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH)  Ogbomoso's Academic Collaboration Committee and the Faculty of Nursing have commended the Management of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan for meeting the required standard for collaboration between the College's Dental Nursing Department  and LAUTECH.


This was contained in a statement issued after the  assessment exercise  by the College Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Samuel Ojewole.


The  team was led by the Dean,  Faculty of Nursing Science of the University, Professor S. O. Adeyemo. She eulogized the College Management   for providing the required facilities and equipment for the  Dental Nursing programme,  commending the sterling leadership qualities of the Provost, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo. 

She  also commended  the Head of Department,  Mrs Yemisi Ologunja for her selfless efforts towards ensuring the progress of the Dental Nursing Department.

She expressed optimism  that  the academic collaboration will be achieved and yield the expected results within the shortest possible time.


Welcoming the Visiting Team, the Provost, Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology,  Eleyele,  Ibadan,  Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo commended the team for their prompt response to expedite action on the collaboration between the two academic Institutions.

She informed the team of  the upcoming National Board for Technical Education's (NBTE)  Accreditation  Team's  visit the College for the resource inspection  of six academic programmes of the College which includes  Higher National Diploma,  Dental Nursing. She thanked the Management  for their unwavering  commitment towards the advancement of the College. 


In her remarks, the Head of the  Dental Nursing Department, Mrs Yemisi Ologunja thanked the   LAUTECH Team for the academic collaboration and commended  the College Management for their support for the Department.

She equally thanked the  College Governing Council for its support in ensuring the maintenance of high academic standards of all the programmes run by the College.


The Team inspected the Dental Nursing Clinics, the Laboratories,   Demonstration room,   Staff offices and the  Lecture rooms.


Also  present  during the exercise were the  the College Librarian,  Mr Olukayode Akinsoji, the Bursar, Mrs Adeola Olanase, the Registrar, Mrs Oladupe Ayoola and the Admission Officer,  Mr Olugbenga  Makinde.


It  would be recalled that the academic collaboration process  commenced  a couple of years ago and culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding last year, between the two  Institutions owned by the Oyo State Government.
