Oyo Govt. Organises Training Workshop for Civil Servants

 

Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, mni has urged Civil Servants across the State to embrace knowledge on Information Communication Technology (ICT)  to key into the Government efforts on e-governance and smooth delivery of Sustainable Development Agenda of the State Government.


She stated this during the opening ceremony of a - 2 day workshop for administrative officers on the "Role of the Organisational Design in Improving Efficiency and Effectiveness in the Civil/Public Service" held at the Head of Service conference room, Secretariat, Ibadan.


She enjoined them to take responsibility for personal capacity development to implement the State Government Agenda. 


She admonished participants to embrace learning, saying that, administrators are expected to know something about everything to be able to give appropriate advise for political bosses on policy formulation and implementation.


The Head of Service was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Service Matters, Mr Paul Oyekunle appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for giving priority attention for the welfare of Civil/Public Servants in the State.


However, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishment and Training, Mr Olajide Okesade who was represented by the Director Service Matters, Mr Taiwo Mustapha enjoined the participants to practice what they learn from the training in their day to day activities.
