School Resumption: Oyo Edu Ministry Embarks On Monitoring Exercise
In a bid to ensure a smooth and successful academic session, the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on Tuesday, embarked on a monitoring Tour of Schools' Resumption within Ibadan metropolis.
The monitoring Team led by Director of Secondary School, Mr. Akanji Olayinka, commenced the monitoring exercise from Adelagun Memorial Grammar School, Ibadan City Academy Eleta, Eleta Schools, Ibadan, and Yejide Girls Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Mr. Akanji explained that the monitoring exercise was part of the ministry's mandate to ensure punctuality and efficiency among the students and Staffers of the school.
He noted that the present administration, under the leadership of Engr.'Seyi Makinde accorded priority to education to achieve the best for the students.
He charged the students in all the schools across the State to have a change of attitude towards school resumption and warned them to stay clear of any social vices that might jeopardize their academic pursuits.
Mr Akanji emphasized the importance of teachers being dedicated to the teaching profession , saying the future of the students rests on their shoulders.
He also stressed the need for students to be well-prepared for computer-based examinations as both WAEC and NECO will be adopting this format.
He explained that the government has consistently demonstrated its dedication to ensuring that students receive the best possible education, with regular visits to schools in previous terms.
The monitoring team comprised senior officials from various departments, including Quality Assurance, Curriculum, Basic Education, Mathematics and Technical Education, Administration and Supply, Special Needs and Inclusive Education, Evaluation, and Finance and Accounts.
