Lagos APC Chairman Applauds Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA Boss, Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, for Landmark 100 Days Achievements

The Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Apostle Cornelius Ojelabi, has hailed the Executive Chairman of Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA, Hon. (Dr.) Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, for the impressive projects commissioned to mark the administration’s first 100 days in office.

Ojelabi, who spoke on Thursday during the Grand Finale of the 100-day celebration held at the council secretariat in Igbogila, said he was “personally impressed” by Agbaje’s performance, noting that the projects reflect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the grassroots level.

He described the Ayobo/Ipaja council boss as an “electoral asset” to the APC and the entire Alimosho Federal Constituency, adding that Agbaje had fully utilized the “opportunity” given to him by the party to serve the people.

The state Chairman urged Agbaje to further deepen inclusive governance by tapping into the experiences of past public office holders and party leaders to strengthen the political capital he is building through good governance.

Ojelabi attended the event alongside members of the State Executive Council, including the State Vice Chairman (Lagos West), Chief Sunday Babatunde Aboyade, and the State Secretary, Hon. Muyideen Adeola Jokomba. Also present were top political figures such as the Executive Chairman of Alimosho LG, Hon. Ibrahim Akinpelu Johnson; his Vice Chairman, Hon. Adebisi; former House of Representatives member, Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo (Eyesopen); party chieftain and Mosan/Okunola LCDA chairmanship hopeful, Engr. Taofeek Lawal; and several others.

The delegation was received by the Apex Leader of the Alimosho Progressives, Hon. (Prince) Bisi Yusuf; Hon. (Dr.) Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun; the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oladipupo Oluwaloni (Olo); APC LGA Chairman, Chief Wole Aina; and the Ayobo/Ipaja Council Manager.

In his remarks, Ojelabi praised Agbaje for demonstrating cultural humility by dedicating a significant part of his speech to acknowledging individuals who contributed to his success. He thanked the people of Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA for coming out en masse to support the APC during the election, noting that their trust in the party paved the way for Agbaje’s emergence.

The APC State Chairman revealed that he had personally inspected some of the ongoing road projects before the ceremony and commended the quality of work executed. He particularly lauded the Council Engineer for successfully supervising the construction of seven durable roads equipped with drainage and interlocking.

Ojelabi highlighted several projects delivered within Agbaje’s 100 days in office, including the commissioning of ten electricity transformers and the donation of two patrol vehicles to the police. He stressed that although the provisions of electricity and security fall under federal responsibilities, Agbaje chose to intervene to ease the burden on residents.

He criticised previous Federal Government administrations for mismanaging the power sector, which he said deprived Nigerians of efficient electricity. According to him, Agbaje’s intervention aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at correcting such structural deficiencies.

“Injecting ten transformers into the community is a major sacrifice,” Ojelabi stated. “The Chairman gathered the people’s resources—small traders’ contributions—to ensure residents do not suffer unnecessarily.”

He urged security agencies to reciprocate the council’s support by improving their response to residents’ needs.

Ojelabi concluded by commending the council leadership for its commitment to development within its first 100 days in office, expressing confidence that greater achievements lie ahead.
